Set up a new computer and all copied files on your new hard disk have a wrong file date “Created”<\/strong>? Or copied all your vacation photos from your digital camera to your computer and discovered that the dates “Created” of all pictures are the date of copying?<\/p>\n

For many applications it is important that the system displays the original creation and modification dates of the files in the Windows file system. What Happened?<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

When copying files to another storage media<\/strong>, Microsoft Windows™ takes the date of copying<\/strong> as the new file date “Created” and not the original creation date<\/strong> or date taken of the files. Therefore, the date “Created” can even be more recent than the date “Modified”.<\/p>\n

The Solution<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n

File Date Corrector<\/strong> for Windows is able to correct<\/strong> simply and fast the system-provided file dates “Created” and “Modified”<\/strong>, also taking into account the correct time zone. For this purpose, File Date Corrector is extracting the necessary information from the metadata<\/strong> embedded within various files such as pictures, video, audio and documents<\/strong>\u00a0 in order to correct the file dates “Created” and “Modified”<\/strong> of the system according to the original creation date, date taken, modification date<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
